No. Both science and religion thrive on faith.

Science is not logical because no scientific proof points to the absolute truth. Many so called significant scientific proofs in the past have been refuted, and anything that can be proven scientifically today could be refuted in the future. So what scientists call “proof” is not really proof according to the principles of Logic. In Logic, a proof (a truth statement) is something that must be true always and everywhere. For example, the statement, “it’s sunny today (Jan 26th, 2008) in Phoenix,” is true whenever you state it and wherever you state it.

Both the scientist and the religious person live by faith. The only difference is that the scientist has faith on the “proof”, and the religious person has faith on a higher reality.
